Terms of Service

1. Service Overview

BookSmith (the "Service") is an AI-powered writing assistance platform operated by Doseodam (the "Company"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Accounts

To use the Service, you must sign up with a Google account or email. You are responsible for the security of your account and may not share your account credentials with others.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Paid subscriptions are offered on a monthly or annual auto-renewal basis.
  • Payments are processed through Toss Payments.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period.
  • Full refund available within 7 days of initial payment.
  • Prices may change with prior notice. Changes apply to existing subscribers at the next renewal.

4. Content Ownership

All content you create through the Service (manuscripts, cover designs, etc.) belongs to you. The Company claims no ownership rights over your content.

5. AI-Generated Content

  • AI-generated content is based on your input and is not guaranteed to be accurate.
  • The fact-checking feature is an assistive tool; final verification is your responsibility.
  • AI-generated content may resemble existing works. Legal review before publication is recommended.

6. Prohibited Activities

  • Using the Service to create illegal content
  • Breaching service security or overloading systems
  • Unauthorized use of another person's account
  • Reverse engineering, disassembling, or decompiling the Service

7. Service Changes & Termination

The Company may modify, suspend, or terminate service features. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice 30 days in advance.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is." The Company makes no express or implied warranties regarding completeness, accuracy, or reliability. The Company's liability for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by the user.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. In the event of a dispute, the Seoul Central District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
